The Quality of our Fabrics
We are please to offer quality quilting fabrics at our shop. We are getting new fabrics all year long. Below are short descriptions that discuss the various types of fabrics and other materials used in quilting, sewing, and applique.
The Majority of our Fabrics
100% Cotton. Cotton is the preferred fabric for our quilting community. We source fabrics in two different ways.
- From Distributors: These bolt and preCut fabrics are ordered direction or indirectly through of number of company representatives. These include:
- Moda Fabrics.
- Checker Distributing
- QT Fabrics
- EE Schenck
- From Opportunity: We have been blessed to help grow our selection through purchasing from other quilt shops in Michigan that have retired from the industry.
Other Bolt Items
Besides quilting fabrics, we offer a number of items that compliment quilting and other sewing projucts.
- Batting: We carry precut batting for all the standard quilt sizes. We also sell batting off the bolt. Batting can be Cotton, Poly-Cotton blend, and Wool.
- Interfacing: We carry several types of interfacing to help in the making of t-shirt (memory quilts), applique and other project applications.
- Flannel: Though our inventory is limited, we do have a selection of flannel that is perfect for those baby quilt projects.
- Minky: We have a growing selection of Minky fabrics that provide an extremely soft touch. We are using this more and more for quilt backing.
