We started carrying yarn late 2024. We offer a few different types as described below
Handspun
Wool. Our handspun Alpaca and Sheep Wool provides an nice variegated twist and comes in natural as well as a mix of colors. This yarn is spun by family here in Michigan and is great for hats and mittens.

Machine Spun
We carry a few brands of machine spun in a variety of earthy and vibrant colors.
- DK (Double Knit) Yarn
- Thickness: Medium-light weight, typically around 11–14 wraps per inch (WPI).
- Needle/Hook Size: Works well with 3.75–4.5mm needles/hooks.
- Weight: Slightly heavier than sport yarn but lighter than worsted.
- Best For:
- Sweaters and cardigans
- Baby clothing and accessories
- Lightweight scarves and cowls
- Amigurumi (crochet toys)Blankets and throws
- Sport Yarn
- Thickness: Light weight, around 12–15 WPI.
- Needle/Hook Size: Often used with 3.25–3.75mm needles/hooks.
- Weight: Slightly thinner than DK.
- Best For:
- Children’s and baby clothes
- Lightweight hats and mittens
- Shawls and wraps
- Lightweight socks
- Fine amigurumi details
- Fingering Yarn
- Thickness: Thin, around 14–16 WPI.
- Needle/Hook Size: Usually 2.25–3.25mm needles/hooks.
- Weight: Lighter than sport, commonly used for delicate projects.
- Best For:
- Socks and stockings
- Lace shawls and wraps
- Fine gloves or mittens
- Baby booties and heirloom-quality garments
- Intricate doilies and lacework
- Worsted Yarn
- Thickness: Medium-heavy weight, around 9–12 WPI.
- Needle/Hook Size: Suitable for 4.5–5.5mm needles/hooks.
- Weight: Heavier than DK, provides warmth and durability.
- Best For:
- Warm sweaters and jackets
- Chunky scarves, hats, and mittens
- Sturdy blankets and afghans
- Pillows and home decor items
- Outerwear and accessories
